Oliver Walter is a BHS Accredited Professional Coach, UKCC Coach, BHS Stage 4 Senior Yard Manager and BHS Stage 5 Business Manager, as well as a British Dressage Listed Judge.
Based in the South East of the UK, Oliver offers dressage coaching, clinics, judging and schooling across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Essex.
Having trained horses and riders from beginners through to Prix St Georges, Oliver’s coaching focuses on developing both the rider’s understanding and the horse’s training, using the scales of training as a clear and logical framework.
Oliver believes in keeping training simple, practical and down to earth, helping riders improve without over-complicating things.

About Oliver
Oliver is a dressage rider, BHS Accredited Professional Coach, UKCC Coach, BHS Stage 4 Senior Yard Manager and BHS Stage 5 Business Manager, as well as a British Dressage Listed Judge, with over 20 years of experience working within the equestrian industry.
Throughout his career Oliver has worked in both the UK and internationally, managing professional yards, training horses and coaching riders at all levels. He has trained extensively in the UK, Holland and France with a number of leading international trainers, gaining valuable experience in modern dressage training and rider development.
Oliver has successfully trained horses and riders from beginners through to Prix St Georges level, working with riders of all ages and abilities, from those looking to build confidence and improve their basics through to competitive combinations wanting to progress their training.
A key part of Oliver’s coaching approach is helping riders develop a better understanding of the training itself, not just improving what happens in the lesson. Using the scales of training as the foundation, he focuses on building correct basics that allow horses and riders to progress in a clear and logical way.
Oliver aims to keep his coaching simple, practical and easy to understand, believing that good training does not need to be over complicated. His approach is supportive, structured and always focused on improving both the horse and rider.
His aim is to make dressage training accessible, understandable and enjoyable for every rider.
Now based in the South East of England, Oliver regularly works across Kent, Sussex, Surrey and Essex, offering private coaching, clinics, judging and schooling.
